Ahead of the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games, six special episodes of Malawi’s long-running radio drama Zimachitika (These Things Happen) introduced disability sport to audiences across the country. Co-developed by Story Workshop Educational Trust, the Malawi Paralympic Committee and university partners, the series drew on research and the lived experiences of Para athletes to create authentic stories that entertained, informed and inspired discussion about disability, inclusion and participation.
